Explain how the news affect the stock market?

You must cite at least 6 sources, 3 of which must be from peer-reviewed scholarly journals. The rest can be from anywhere. Please refer to the lecture on evaluating sources to do this properly (Module 9). If your source is not from a scholarly journal, this should be indicated when introducing the source. Make sure to indicate as well when you are presenting your own opinion or experience with the use of ‘I’ or other indicator.
Must be MLA format with in-text citations wherever you are using information, quoting, or paraphrasing from another source. Must include a works cited with at least 6 sources. There are videos on how to do this as well as resources in the ‘Course Materials’ tab. Failure to do your in-text citations or works cited at least mostly correct will result in a 20% reduction of your grade.
Must have a coherent structure that gives context, makes claims, gives evidence, then explains how the evidence demonstrates the claim. See modules 3 and 9 for more information on structure.
Must include at least 3 quotes that are introduced and explained. (See Module 2 for the lecture on quoting).
You must back up all claims with evidence from a source. (Review: A claim is a statement made in support of your argument. Your argument is what you are trying to convince the reader of). You must also explain how your evidence demonstrates your point or idea. Evidence must come with in-text citations.
Must show signs of synthesis (using two or more sources together to back up your claim see Module 9). Each paragraph should be citing at least 2 sources (not including introduction and conclusion).
Assume the reader does not know anything about your subject. Define terms and explain any concepts you would not expect someone you walked up to on the street to know.
Must have a title. It can be your research question, but it also can be something else if you make your research question clear in your introduction.
Grammar issues to look for (that I will be taking off extra points for): not having a comma and conjunction when adding a second independent clause to a sentence, not having commas on both sides of a non-essential phrase, not having a comma after an introductory phrase, fragments – sentences missing either a subject, verb, or that don’t convey a complete idea, and run-ons (more than 2 independent clauses in a sentence).
After you have written your essay, read it over again to make sure there are no errors. Look for clarity, grammar, evidence, citations, explanations.
