What are your own deepest moral values and beliefs? Why do you think you hold these values?

The written assignment portion of this discussion requirement is for an examination of the topic below, submitted in APA format. It is expected that, based on the nature of this topic, that a concise yet thorough analysis will take approximately 5-7 pages of text, in addition to your cover page, abstract, and reference page. A total of 2 external scholarly sources, aside from your required readings, must be cited in support of your position.

Moral Values

Values are virtues, ideals, and qualities on which your actions and beliefs are based. Your assignment is to reflect upon yourself and describe your moral values. You must define your own moral values for yourself.
In your initial post:
Contemplate the following questions and provide thoughtful and honest responses. There are no correct or incorrect answers. Combine your answers to these questions into an essay that reflects your personal value system.
What are your own deepest moral values and beliefs?
Why do you think you hold these values?
Who has been the biggest influence in your life? Specifically, address how this person has influenced your views of what is right and wrong.
What moral qualities do you look for in other people as well as in yourself?
What, if any of these values, do you think everyone shares? And what, if any of the values that are important to you, do you feel are not always observed by our culture as a whole?
How have your values changed over the past five years? What do you believe influenced the change in your values?
Since none of us are perfect, describe how you would change your moral values to become what you believe is a better person.
What is your personal/professional philosophy? Which of these values is relevant to a career in criminal justice? How have you, or how do you plan to put these values and beliefs into practice in the work environment of your chosen profession?
Which ethical principle (virtue ethics, formalism, or utilitarianism) do your beliefs and actions most closely align with?

Child abuse and juvenile delinquency

Research Paper:

Picking a topic: You want to pick two variables X and Y. So you cannot say, “I am going to write a paper about juveniles.” That is too broad, there is no X and Y there. You could say, “I am going to write a paper about early abuse (X) and later adolescent delinquency and trauma (Y).

I look at two variables. I look at how parental incarceration (x) affects the education of the second generation (y).

Final points: Use google scholar. Type in stuff like parental incarceration and education, or juvenile incarceration and recidivism, juveniles and gang exit programs. You can literally write about anything that interests you.

Your research paper needs sub headers and should be formatted as follows:

Introduction:

Literature Review:

Theoretical Contribution:

Methodology:

Conclusion:

Child abuse and juvenile delinquency

Research Paper:

Picking a topic: This may be the most difficult part. You want to pick two variables X and Y.
In my paper I find that those with a parent incarcerated do less well in school, as compared to their counterparts. Parental incarceration is an issue I am very passionate about. My best friend’s mother was incarcerated and given 7 years for possession. My best friend was 17 at the time. She had to drop out of school, started working two jobs to take care of her 14 year old brother, and was never able to go to college. I saw how my life and her life started to be very different and she never committed a crime. She was taking the punishment for something her mother did. However, even though I have this personal reason to research parental incarceration you never hear this personal story in the article. I do not go on talking about my best friend. Instead I go through the research about this topic and show what is happening to kids all across the country.

Final points: Use google scholar. Type in stuff like parental incarceration and education, or juvenile incarceration and recidivism, juveniles and gang exit programs. You can literally write about anything that interests you. If you would like to you can email me and ask me if your topic is appropriate. These research papers should be good! You have close to two months to work on it, so don’t try to do it the night before and mess your grade and life up lol. I am going to have no sympathy grading trash papers, so make it good.

Also, make sure you follow the guidelines. Your research paper needs sub headers and should be formatted as follows:

Introduction:

Literature Review:

Theoretical Contribution:

Methodology:
