some helpful question in part B:

What are the core subjects on this course?

What teaching methods are used?

How is the course structured?

Is it possible to study overseas on this course?

Does the course have a Masters level?

Is there any paid employment as part of the course?

How much can I expect to earn when I graduate?

What is the expertise of the staff on this course?

What are the entry requirements for international students?

A. You are required to provide some insight into why you are entering into study for the academic discipline, what you are hoping to achieve, and your career aspirations.

B. You will then need to offer a discussion that compares and contrasts the LJMU undergraduate degree you are aiming to progress to with the same (or similar) programme offered by another university within the UK. It is expected that you will use web searches to retrieve this information as well as your experiences at LJMU e.g. an LJMUs academics profile, a visit to the academic department.

C. Finally, you will choose one of the modules on the first year of your progression programme (on the LJMU course web pages) and research an area related to that module to demonstrate an awareness of debate or difference of opinion within the topic.

For example:

BEng Civil Engineering – there is a module called Structures and Materials.
You may want to discuss how different concretes are used for different purposes and why.

BA Business Management there is a module called Principles of Marketing.
You may want to discuss how two brands choose different marketing techniques to reflect the nature of their product.

In part B you are also required to talk about a lecturer in (LJMU)
for example:
? Lecturer: Peter Cureton
o At LJMU since September 2009; also taught at Chester and St Helens College
o CIPD Examiner
o Professional experience: independent management consultant; insurance broker
o Lectures in Resourcing and Talent Management Development and Learning and Human Resource (levels 5 and 6)
o Research interests: theorising human resource development; manager learning; metaphors for learning
o Publications:
 Book: Stewart, J., and Cureton, P. (2014) Designing Delivering and Evaluating Learning and Development: Essentials for practice. London: CIPD.
 Journal Articles: Gold, J., Walton, J., Cureton, P., & Anderson, L. (2011). Theorising and practitioners in HRD. Journal of European Industrial Training (special edition).
 Conference presentations on contact centres

Personal Information and Knowledge Management System

Personal Information and Knowledge Management System

Aims:
• To apply modern Web-based techniques for management of information systems used in the design and manufacturing processes;
• To apply the principles of computer networking and intercommunication and protocols for inter-process communication in loosely and tightly coupled systems;
• To design and analyse information systems within the context of a business as a whole.

Learning outcomes:
1. Critically analyse and evaluate the requirements for information integration for an engineering system and effectively apply advanced information and communication technologies.
2. Critically analyse information system requirements by taking account of commercial and industrial constraints and create an implementation strategy for effective information processing and management.
3. Generate an innovative design of Web-based information systems to fulfil new needs for managing manufacturing processes.

Coursework specification:
In the age of information explosion, one needs to deal with a huge amount of data and information. For example, you create and store a lot of files in your personal/office computer every day, and these files may not be easily found later on because they are not organised in a particular way that enables effective personal information management. Although there are some solutions such as Dropbox and Google Drive which support files storage and sharing, again, though, little work has been done to study how advanced IT solutions can be developed to help users to organise, store, and more importantly easily find the information they need.
You are a professional in an IT consultancy specialising IT solutions for end users across multiple platforms (e.g. computers, mobile devices). You have been recently tasked with producing a plan to develop a prototype personal information and knowledge system which can help your users to effectively manage information and knowledge in their daily life. When you finish this project, you need to produce a report as well as a prototype system so that the senior management of your company can make decision on whether this system deserves more investment. Specifically, your work includes the following tasks:
1. Undertake research of existing personal information and knowledge management systems to find out the main vendors, solutions and functionalities of these systems;
2. Analyse the information usage of your system through a survey and identify the main requirements of the system you are going to develop;
3. Develop a method which can help your user to effective manage personal information and knowledge;
4. Produce an innovative design of a prototype system that is based on the service oriented architecture and runs across multiple platforms;
5. Develop a prototype system which will be used to demonstrate your ideas;
6. Write a report describing your research, analysis, design and development.

Submission requirements and marking criteria:
The report will preferably start with an executive summary prior to the main body of the report and contain as appendices your summaries of charts and diagrams which are relevant to your design and development work. Please use the Harvard APA 6th edition as your referencing.

Marks are awarded for clearly recorded and justified decisions.
Large quantities of unused internet download will be penalized.

The specific marking criteria are shown in Table 1 and the marking scheme is as follows:
Research of existing systems (15%)
Identification of requirements and design of a method (25%)
Design of a prototype system (30%)
Development of the prototype system (20%)
Presentation, structure, and format of the report (10%)

This is very important please note:
Don’t forget the executivve summery as the first page and the type of referencing Harvard APA 6th edition.
That this course work needs a website done and with the CODING for it so if you are not capable please do not accept it. Our Dr gave us the link on youtube to learn from a tutorial “NetBeans PHP Tutorial” on this link on you tube it will show you how to do it there is about 16 tutorials so please keep that in mind because there is no point of just writing the coursework with out the site needed.
Thanks

Merger & Acquisitions

As of recently there have been a vast amount of tech start-up corporations that have gone public. In addition, a number of the big-box retailers are consolidating. I am quite certain within the next few years our nation and emerging markets will see a spike within the M&A industry.
A hostile take-over scenario that involves a merger or acquisition of a successful start-up technology corporation that is not in good financial standing: Acting as an attorney on behalf of the start-up corporation how would capital structure, articles of incorporation and future investments play a role in counseling the start-up.

Assume that you and your partner want to start up a high-tech corporation; you have been advised to secure a patent or a copyright on your technology, but you and your partner have no liquid assets. You have located three very bright, wealthy and investment savvy-wise investors who are willing to join with you and invest substantial sums in your enterprise. How would you set up the capital structure using common stock, preferred stock, warrants, straight preferred, participating preferred, convertible preferred and different types of debt? Consideration should be given to the fact that after 5 or so years, assuming the enterprise is very successful, you and your partner want to own 100% of the business. you are a corporate, tax and securities lawyer, and your partner is content with that fact and you, assuming that no conflict arises, want to treat your partner fairly and equally, but you have no obligation, fiduciary or otherwise to the other 3 investors, but, thinking ahead, you would like to use the investors in other possible ventures and want them to be happy with anything you and your partner do.
