Choose a Region/ Country and that is the topic

You must select only ONE region and a specific country to examine in depth.

Also, select only ONE significant environmental problem (or hazard) to study closely, and examine how it affects life in that area that you have selected. What are the causes or contributing factors that have led to that environmental problem, or environmental hazard, that you have chosen to research? Argue for your points. Discuss any evidence.

What are the likely consequences, short-term and long-term?Discuss.Keep building your argument(s).What should be done to minimize the likelihood of any negative consequences?See what suggestions or reforms you can propose and discuss.

Details, example:

Use of an atlas is highly suggested, as you explore these questions above. Use any credible sources, including books from the library and online sources, to get into more depth than the text offers.Seek depth!Get into the facts, controversies, allegations and arguments regarding any causal factors, and discuss the likely consequences.

FOR EXAMPLE: You might look at deforestation within a certain region and country (of your choice).Check an atlas. What are the causes and the implications?Find out more about what has been actually taking place.Who or what is responsible?Does the blame always fall within the country of your analysis?Consider any influential countries and corporations if relevant.Consider any other global factors, if relevant (perhaps consider any of those five themes in each chapter, as relevant).

Format:

7pgs minimum (10pgs max) double-spaced, size 12 font, standard 1″ margins. Plus, submit an OUTLINE and REFERENCE PAGE with at least SIX (6) SOURCES.

In addition to the 7 page minimum, you must develop a good OUTLINE.The outline should have enough depth to help guide you through the paper.

Also, you must include a complete REFERENCE PAGE at the end.

Be sure to cite everything!!! Quote and cite where you must.Cite what you paraphrase. Cite everything take from any source. The style of citation/reference is up to you. Parenthetical style is ok, such as something like (Smith, 1998: p58).I suggest this style, as it is easy and reliable. But, it is your choice. You may choose to use end-notes or footnotes. Don’t forget the SIX or more sources! Avoid relying on useless travel websites, Wikipedia, and other encyclopedias, etc.Seek good articles that are well researched!
