Why an Annotated BibliographyThis first formal essay assignment is an annotated bibliography to help you gather research for writing your second essay. An annotated bibliography is a list of materials (books, magazines, internet sites, subject indexes, etc.), that the author of a scholarly paper utilized to support the premise of the essay, paper, or research assignment.Required ContentsYour annotated bibliography must contain seven (7) sources from a variety of formats and with varying viewpoints on the same topic as your summary assignment.You must include the following sources:1. Cite all of your sources in Modern Language Association (MLA) style and American Psychological Association (APA) style3. Arrange citations alphabetically by author4. In narrative form, address these four issues: state the authority of the person who wrote the resource, explain the main purpose of the resource (thesis and summary), compare the item to another resource in your bibliography, offer a critical opinion about the work
