Here is what I have done please fix what needs to be fixed thanks!:
Topic: College athletes should get paid and make earnings off of their likeness.
Main Point 1: The NCAA makes billions of dollars.
Main Point 2: The athlete’s family may be struggling and cannot afford to live.
Here are some notes I didnt finish all of them yet:
Main point 1 notes:
Sponsors that pay the universities $300,000+ to put their brand all over the arena. Big time coaches get shoe deals that pay $375,000/year and even a $1,000,000 bonus
When Patrick Ewing played at Georgetown he accumulated over $12,000,000 to Georgetown.
Georgetown made a profit of $11,951,400 off of Ewing
Athletes work over 1,000+ hours/year
Athletes make less than the minimum wage in Texas.
Conference teams collectively received $116,000,000 in annual payouts
The NCAA signed a multi-year agreement worth $6,200,000,000 with CBS
The NCAA claims amateur status while operating as a profitable enterprise
The NCAA is exploiting its athletes to maintain amateur status
College sports is revenue-producing for everyone except the athletes
Main point 2 notes:
All entities are compensated except the athletes
College athletes are being paid through scholarships only
The athletes cannot receive gifts, but coaches and other athletic department personnel receive the free use of automobiles, country club memberships, housing subsidies, etc. `
Players who leave a program are ostracized unlike coaches who resign
Full scholarships do not always cover all college expenses
Some student-athletes leave school because they do not have enough money to continue.
Coaches receive shoe deals and bonuses for bowl-game appearances

Thesis Statement and topic sentences
College athletes should be able to get paid and make earnings off of their likeness. One reason why I believe college athletes should be paid is because the NCAA makes billions and billions of dollars of the athletes and they do not get a dime in return. The second reason why college athletes should get paid is because it is extremely unethical that the NCAA, coaches, schools, etc. can profit while the athlete and his family may be struggling and may barely afford to pay their rent.
