2. Pick a celebrity that has the same lifestyle as Gatsby.
* This celebrity has to have a history like Gatsby. He/she must have come from
nothing and has made a name for himself/herself. They should have also
converted into a celebrity and lived a lavish life like Gatsby in the story. If you
want to go above and beyondyou can even pick a celebrity who ends up with a
past love interest or is seeking to find a companion. Regardless, who you choose
as your celebrity; their life should parallel with Gatsby.

4. Write 3 full pages in 12pt Times New Roman, on the life of Gatsby vs.
______________(your celebrity) in MLA style.
Each paragraph needs to be 10+ sentences and all doubled spaced. You must have
a 3 POINT THESIS in the last sentence of your introduction. You must have
BODY PARAGRAPHS to support each of your points in the thesis. You must
also have a TRANSITIONAL WORD at the beginning of each body paragraph.
Lastly, you must have a complete CONCLUSION that wraps it all up and restates
your thesis.

5. You need to have a WORK CITED PAGE. You should list the sources you use
to write the paper and to create the power point. (i.e. The Great Gatsby by: F.
Scott Fitzgerald would be a source) You should also list sources from the internet
where you found info on your celebrity. You must have at least 5 sources listed
on your work cited page.
6. You must complete a POWER POINT PRESENTATION with a minimum of 15
slides. Each slide needs to have information pertaining to your celebrity and
Gatsby. It should also have pictures on each slide that you can discuss during your
presentation.
7. Your presentation should be between 8-10 minutes long. Remember you should
be standing up straight, making eye contact, talking clear, not chewing gum or
being disrespectful.
8. If you dress up according to that era or your celebrity during your presentation.
