Criminology

This topic deals with purely Criminology. It is a very philosophical law subjects, and

Here is what my lecturer noted on this assessed work:

The Assessed Work title is out there, and the elements of it are hopefully clear. The core aim is to produce a well-evidenced argument about the issues raised that puts forward a specific viewpoint, drawing on the contextual materials, and the theories/explanations, covered in the course. You are expected to be selective, using evidence and ideas that you think are most relevant, and to think ‘within’ the scope of the course (that is, don’t get bogged down in worrying about the sociology of welfare etc.) – how does it relate to what we have covered? By all means look to go beyond the core material by finding other readings (find new stuff, specific stuff, original insights) to cite. CRUCIALLY – MAKE AN ARGUMENT AND MAKE IT EVIDENCED!

The topic to this assignment is very, very broad that I don’t even know what elements of theory to be used in this assignment. So, I hope you make it specific.

The book we used is ‘Criminology’ by Tim Newburn and another book called ‘Textbook on Criminology’ by Katherine S. Williams but other references can be sourced.
