PGCE Primary course. My course is 1/3 masters degree. The essay title is Critical discussion of the curriculum in relation to key themes and principles important to your chosen subject area. My chosen subject area is english. The first 1000 words (introduction) is a critical discussion of key perspectives on the curriculum. (some of this is already written and I can supply the readings to back up the points I want to make). The main section of the essay (3000 words) will focus on one subject area: English. Critically discuss the place of phonics in supporting reading development within the English curriculum.
