HOW TO GET BETTER GRADES ON DB’S
The Discussion Boards are intended to provoke some scholarly examination of the topic. This means that you should read the text, seek out other information, perhaps on-line, and generally tell WHY your response should be considered. Your responses should be based on published facts, not personal stories. You should find other sources which support your argument. You must cite them. However, verbatim quotes of sources DO NOT constitute an adequate post – I am looking for YOUR analysis, backed up by accepted sources. Wikipedia is not an accepted source.

The DB’s are intended to substitute for the exams, also, and you cannot do that without getting into the facts and texts.
Next, you should post a response frequently. Single posts that give a one sentence response to the topic, as if it were a short-answer exam question, get poor grades. The DB is intended to be a group in-depth discussion with all participating frequently
