Remind me at the top of each draft submitted whether you are doing option 1 or option2. At the end (but before the references page), include very rough notes about option 1) your thoughts so far on a hypothesis and what data you would need to test it, or option 2) your thoughts so far on how the literature all fits together is there a consensus or conflicting findings in the various papers and what are your thoughts about the importance of this topic for example, how we might use this knowledge in policymaking. These rough notes may be incomplete sentences, disorganized, or a bulleted list. Just somehow get those thoughts down on the page.
