The business i am proposing is an online photo editing one called Visual Insight (VI). It is an online photo editing site that offers users the ability to upload and edit their images with most of the tools widely used by other editing sites. If commercially released it would rival but is not limited to the likes of Photoshop Express and Pixlr. USP would be the fact that the site is an affordable and simple alternative online photo editor. Offering a simple yet effective user experience / interaction, whilst still giving users most of the same features used by it’s competitors at an affordable price. If further developed and commercially released it would later go on to include features like cloud storage and video editing, allowing users to save their edited media on an online server and also edit videos up to 60secs. Currently users can either save their edited images onto their local drive or share/upload to social media. The sites main feature utilizes ‘Mini Paint’ as the image editor. It is an open source editor embedded in the site. This has been used as this site is supposed to be a prototype, so features are relatively basic / dummied down for the purpose of the assignment. In the report this is not to be mentioned as the reason for why it is being used and instead, should be perceived as though it was programmed for the site.
