This assignment is an opportunity for you to conduct further research on the guidelines for successful interventions. You will present your findings in a brief, informative, and engaging presentation of no more than 10 slides.
o Slide One: Title of presentation, your name, date
o Slide Two-Eight: Content concerning one of the chapters listed above.
o Slide Nine: Conclusions or Takeaways
o Slide Ten: References
The topic should be something very specific since there is limited space and time to share your presentation. Relate the course concepts concerning communication in a meaningful way to the topic of culture and communication. Whatever topic you choose, make sure the subject is specific and detailed enough to be interesting, and narrow enough to be accomplished in the number of slides permitted. Hint: Look at the section headers in the chapter and choose one that interests you. Use this topic in your presentation.
Preparation:
o Prepare an outline that clearly shows how your topic is related to course concepts by citing the textbook, other assigned readings, or your own Internet search. The outline should be thorough enough that it will clearly demonstrate all the points you plan to cover in your presentation but does not need to be so detailed that it reads like a paper or a written-out speech.
o Include a minimum of three sources: two written sources, such as the text, academic journals, books, magazines, or websites. For the third source, you might use interviews, films, documentaries, or something else appropriate to your topic.
o Create the presentation. Remember to be brief, informative, and engaging in no more than 10 slides.
To make an interesting presentation, follow these guidelines:
o Grab our attention immediately with an interesting anecdote, question or illustration.
