This is supposed to be a research topic description. I’ve already chosen my topic, and I’m pasting the paragraph I’ve already written about it. Basically, I need you to work off my proposal to create a topic description.
Assignment description:
We will further refine your topic description into a concise, precise, and substantive one- or two-paragraph topic statement identifying the focus of an analytical research paper, (Links to an external site.) along with an APA-formatted Annotated Bibliography page.
Statements should use an in-text citation to integrate no fewer than five (5) sources, and at least three (3) of the sources should be full-length current scholarly journal articles.
These brief but dense compositions should include a sentence summarizing the purpose of your paper and focus of your exploration (Links to an external site.) as envisioned at that point – something along the lines of, “The purpose of this paper is to…” or “In this paper, I will…” with Bloom-informed terms (Links to an external site.) to describe the objectives.
The Topic Statement should be accompanied by an Annotated Bibliography (Links to an external site.) that includes one- or two-paragraph discussions of each of the five (5) or more sources cited in the statement.
My proposal:
Abraham Maslow developed a 5-tier Hierarchy of Needs to explain human motivation. The Hierarchy begins with our physiological needs and progresses to safety needs; love needs; self-esteem, and lastly, self-actualization (Maslow, 1943). One must satisfy their most basic needs before moving on to the higher ones. We are amid a global pandemic that has dramatically changed everyday life in our country. Parents have been suddenly thrust into the role of teacher as they started shutting down schools, and many must juggle that with being the primary bread winner of their house. A parents number one priority should be meeting their childrens most basic physiological needs, but the pandemic has made doing so much more difficult for families. Now more than ever, families need to be flexible and focused on the needs that matter most. Maslows Hierarchy of Needs encourages parents and educators to use an interdisciplinary approach as they try to navigate through these uncertain times.
