You are a court reporter and need to find a trial to write up a sensational story about for your editor. Because of your role as a reporter, you have access to most trials and can see the records from that trial.
Because we arent really court reporters, we will look up historical court cases and see what happened. Go to https://www.hathitrust.org/ and search for trial proceedings. Make sure you find the direct proceedings of the trial not a retelling of the trial. Write up a short news story about what happened in that trial. (include a catchy headline so your classmates want to click on it!)
Parameters:
1. Needs to be 300-500 words
2. Should be written with a journalistic voice
3. Needs to include a link to the actual report.

1. Discuss and demonstrate a knowledge of what kinds of information a journalist is allowed to write about.
2. Critique the justice system, as an overseer of justice
3. Understand how to find information and use it effectively.
