1) Analysis of an academic publication (12 pages) (This analysis should take into consideration all three aspects of the rhetorical triangle [not as bullet points or a list, but rather in paragraph form]. You should ultimately arrive at a claim [an argument or thesis statement] that considers which of the elements [ethos, logos, pathos] the piece exploits the most and why. Be sure to provide the details of the articleauthor name, title, and publication venuein a correct bibliographic entry [MLA or APA] located before the analysis.)
2) Analysis of a website associated with the profession/discipline (12 pages) (This analysis should take into consideration not only the rhetorical elements we learned during our lessons on images [paintings and advertisements], but also the rhetorical triangle. In the end, you should be able to make a claim [an argument or thesis statement] about which aspect of the triangle [or even C.R.A.P.] the website exploits the most and why. Be sure to provide a URL and locate it before your analysis.)
3) Resume/curriculum vitae (~12 pages) (Every job and every employer will require you to include either a resume or a CV in your application packet. For this part of the dossier, you will compose a professional resume/CV from scratch. Youll need to do some research to determine which of these types your future profession tends to prefer.)
4) Cover letter (~1 page) (It is possible, if not probable, that you will be required to compose a cover letter as part of your application materials for a future job. For this part of the dossier, you will search for an actual job at a company youd like to work for. Next, youll research the job, both the advertisement and supplemental information, to understand what is required and expected from applicants. Finally, you will write a professional cover letter that highlights your fitness for the position and specifically what youll bring to the company.)
5) Final reflection (2 pages) (This final piece asks you to reflect on the project as a whole. There is no specific outline for your reflection, but it should contain at least two things: 1) a narrative of what you learned, not only from the interview, but also from your other analyses. What were you surprised to find out? How has your perception of your profession changed? Has the experience made you more or less excited to enter the field? 2) A narrative of the past, present, and future of writing in the discipline youve chosen. In the next decade, youll hopefully have entered the field of your choice. How do you think its writing practices will be different? How will technology [or cultural changes] have transformed the way your discipline communicates? What writing or communication skills will you need to possess to succeed in your profession?)

Specific Requirements
1) This project is not a traditional essay, so do not include an introduction or a conclusion. The five sections should be discrete and easily differentiated.
2) You do not need to include a Works Cited page or a reference list (but do remember to include both a URL for the website and a correct bibliographic entry for the academic essay).

Honestly this writing class wasnt very well explained so this final paper is confusing as well on exactly what they want, but its lightly explained and formatted..
