Dissociative Disorders in childhood and adolescence

Introduction. In this section, students review the literature on their specific childhood and adolescent disorders presented during class. The introduction can include the origins of the childhood and adolescent disorder, its onset, gender differences, possible risk factors (biogenic such as temperament, executive functioning), or environmental such as attachment, maltreatment or parenting practices) that sustain or cause it, and how it manifests through childhood and adolescence (age differences). (3-5 pages)

Connection to personality pathology. In this section, students will examine how the childhood and adolescent disorder combined with other possible risk factors contribute or sustain the personality pathology (e.g., maltreatment, specific childhood disorder symptoms, etc). Students must consider either equifinality (how differing circumstances or risk factors lead to a single personality pathology outcome) and/or multifinality (how similar beginnings lead to different personality pathology outcomes) models. (5-6 pages) (Hint: It might be easier to use an equifinality model).

Case study. In this section, students will create a case study that describes and reflects the developmental trajectory of childhood/adolescent disorder and associated risks (e.g., temperament, attachment style, maltreatment, etc) to a specific personality pathology that is discussed in the second section. Students should focus on writing a story that best reflects this developmental trajectory. (2 pages)

Conclusion. In the last section, students will summarize main points from their paper and discuss future directions (e.g., research implications for families and clinicians) that may keep a child or adolescent on a normal trajectory. (1-2 pages)

Reference section. Students must include a list of references compliant to APA style. A minimum of 10 references is required.

I have provided an example of the format of the paper I need.
