A company has been pre-selected ( FEDEX ) and provided to you which has been in the news for aggressive tax avoidance activities and has faced considerable moral judgement and shaming by the media and general public.
Study the various aspects of the companys tax behavior and answer the following questions:
1. What is the nature of the companys business? Are there other companies in the same industry that have been in the news for similar reasons? (8 marks)
3. How did these tax practices come to the notice of the tax authorities? (10 marks)
