Can u please answer on my school mate question on his feedback.see below his feedback . No more than half page reply. Answers are relating to order 521814.please to not simply agree give a good feedback. And answer to my colleague question too.

Yes, I completely agree that persona development is specific rather than general. Customers want to feel like a company is empathizing with their needs, wants, and desires in a specific market. Persona development draws enough conclusions on details to have a faster approach at what kind of segment they want to target as well. Why do you suppose persona development is more expensive than quantitative? I would have assumed that quantitative research would take more time and thus be more expensive but I would love to hear your take on that. Thank you.

1. What variables most strongly distinguish the clusters from one another?

The variables that most strongly distinguish the clusters from one another are…

Q2 – Would you take more phone photos if the transfer were easier
Q4 – Would you replace a digital camera if phone transfer were easier
Q8 – I value having photos on my desktop
Z6 – Data Plan
Z8 – Family Plan
Z15 – Internet Use

These variables have a wide dispersion not only between the highest and the lowest values of each cluster but also a pretty good differentiation between all clusters, cluster one all the way through cluster six.

2. To what extent does the demographic and media use data line up with our earlier analysis?

When compared to the customer personas in case study A the demographics and media use data from the actual quantitative customer segmentation study line up pretty seamlessly for the most part. Regina is clearly cluster 3, Sarah is cluster 2. Steve however is a bit of an outlier as he doesn’t fit neatly into either cluster 1 or 4.

3. Based on our analysis so far, what are the benefits and drawbacks of doing persona development before quantitative cluster analysis versus cluster analysis before persona development?

The benefit of doing persona development first is speed. You will start down the track of finding your target customer faster and abbreviate the “search for the Holy Grail of Specificity” (Aulet 21) substantially. The drawback is a lack of validity in your assumptions of what each customer persona is actually like. As Levy states in the case study, you will still need quantitative data to get an actual understanding of the actual attractiveness of each segment in order to find out who to target. (Sawhney 1)

The benefits and drawbacks are exactly the opposite when conducting the quantitative cluster analysis prior to persona development. The analysis will take longer but it will provide you a much more accurate view of each cluster, and therefore a more complete picture of the eventual customer persona of each segment in the long run.

Give a feedback here too. Do not agree simply explain why :

1. What variables most strongly distinguish the clusters from one another?
The variables mentioned in exhibit 4 – Data Plan, Internet usage, pay own bill and the derived variables from the answers to the questions and demographics Cluster Size, Growth Potential, and possible growth rate.
2. To what extent does the demographic and media use data line up with our earlier analysis?
The demographic and media use data pretty much lined up with our earlier analysis. However, the details that emerged in the demographic and media use data helped to more clearly identify the market segment and the respective personas.
3. Based on our analysis so far, what are the benefits and drawbacks of doing persona development before quantitative cluster analysis versus cluster analysis before persona development?
Doing a qualitative persona development before quantitative cluster analysis may help quicker landing on the targeted market segment. However, there may be researcher bias present in the results as a result of assumptions. On the other hand, quantitative cluster analysis minimizes researcher bias in the interpretation of results. Cluster analysis uses mathematical models to discover similar customers’ groups based on the smallest variations among customers within each group. The quantitative approach offers promise to help validate previously developed personas using a qualitative approach based on data. Developing personas after the quantitative cluster approach will eliminate the possibility of unintended market segment filtering errors that might occur in the collection of qualitative data. The goal of cluster analysis in marketing is to accurately segment customers to achieve more effective customer marketing via personalization.
