I am returning to college later in life to for fulfill my dream of graduate school. For nearly 40 years Ive been denied the opportunity to do so because of a scam at a college that I was enrolled in at the age of 19. The college took the money without providing the courses. I have attempted to fix this for nearly 40 years with the help of two US senators but we have been unable to do so with the department of education as of now. Due to this situation I am unable to apply for aid via a FARSA application. Currently,my husband is on Social Security and has been suffering from coronary artery disease he has had open heart surgery as well as treatment for stage four throat cancer. I remain his sole caregiver.I have returned to college to fulfill my dream as well as to continue to provide for my family after these devastating medical conditions have impacted my family . I have paid every dollar of my education myself with absolutely no help. My dream of graduate school however is unavoidably out of my reach financially without some form of aid. Throughout my college journey I have maintained high honors as well as Executive leadership Certification with the NSLS!
