The moderator is the Hood Museum’s Associate Curator of Global Contemporary Art, Jessica Hong. Before the lecture, read the two Artnet articles in the Weekly Module, one written by Umolu and the other an interview with Wahi, to give you some background on their work and curatorial practice . After the lecture, write a 250-300 word reflection on the lecture. What specific aspects of museums/ art history do Umolu, Wahi, and Hong want to change? Why do these issues need to be addressed? What changes to curatorial models and institutional practices do they envision bringing about long-term change?
