GOOGLE DOC ASSIGNMENT

For this module, you will become familiar with the apps Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Groups, and Google Hangouts, etc. DIRECTIONS: With your partner, you will test out each of the apps in the bulleted list below and explain how each tool can benefit you professionally. This will be completed within a Google Doc. Your partner can be someone in or out of our class. Please note that if your partner is out of our class, he/she doesn’t need to write the statement. PART 1:After creating the Google Doc and putting you and your partners’ names, complete the following: Google Slides (Click “New” in Drive)- collaborate on a short presentation about anything that interests you. Treat it as if you were doing a short presentation for this class. Place a link in the document and talk about how you can use this professionally in the future. Make sure the Google Slides is shared with me so that I can open it.Google Form (Click “New” in Drive)- collaborate on making any kind of form you wish. Place a link in the google doc and talk about how you can use this professionally in the future. Make sure the Google Form is shared with me so that I can open it. This form must gather at least four pieces of information by either filling in information or answering questions.Google Calendar- create calendar events, invite people, screenshot the calendar, and add the image to the document. Also, talk about how you can use this professionally in the future. (This can be done collaboratively with your partner or separately with other people. All you need to do is add your screenshot in the document.)Google Groups- start a group or join a group. Post a question and take a screenshot to be uploaded to the document. Again, talk about how you can use this professionally in the future. (This is normally done separately. All you need to do is add your screenshot to the document.)Google Hangout- do a video talk with someone and do a screen capture. Finally, talk about how you can use this professionally in the future. (This can be done collaboratively or separately. All you need to do is add your screenshot in the document)Explaining how these tools can help you professionally should be done separately by each partner. For example, after placing a screenshot of your calendar, your ideas of how it can help you professionally should look like this: Student A: Google Calendar can help me professionally by…. Student B: I can see Google Calendar is a great tool for me in my field of…. Be professional with your work and one another. I am looking for effort, and that is what you will be graded on. At the end of your document, please include a short section about how each member contributed. If you experience any difficulty collaborating, please try to work it out; however, if issues persist, please let me know as soon as possible. Such cases include a team member not contributing at all or a teammate not listening to feedback at all.
