Hoshin Planning Exercise
The book talks about using Hoshin Planning for the goal of Winning the Stanley Cup. The output of Hoshin Deployment (using the Detroit Red Wings as an example) is depicted in Figures 8.9, 8.10, and 8.11.
For this exercise, you are required to select your favorite sports team from Football, Baseball, Soccer, or Basketball (but not Hockey!) and carry out the Hoshin Planning required for your team to win the ultimate prize in that sport (Super Bowl, World Series, World Cup, etc.). The output of your Hoshin Planning & Deployment MUST be depicted using ALL of the following tools:
1) Affinity Diagram (see Fig 8.9 on page 139 for sample)
2) Tree Diagram (see Fig 8.10 on page 140 for sample)
3) Strategic Plan (see Fig 8.11 on pages 141-142 for sample)
