3. include graphs/image or a table that is EASY to understand and aimed for general public. If graph/image or table is from another source, add reference below the graph.
4. Write not just to inform but provide a balanced view of the findings so far.

6. Start OFF article with interesting lead about ine or two sentences to engage/hook the reader. Can be an interesting fact or “funny”
7. Next is heart of the story that goes into detail. Structured with the “5 W’s” e.g Who What When Where or Why and How. This can be 1-3 paragraphs.
8. Add quotes by the scientists etc. E.g “Dr Harris said this drug could be life changing etc..”
9. Next we add the main body of the story, with main information, details of study and previous studies. Easy to read/understand.
10. Then evaluate the body of the story, and then finish off the newspaper article with an interesting fact or another quote summarizing the topic by a scientist. Hopefully you can link this ending to the start of the article.
