Topic:
It is a fact of reality that the nature of work is evolving. How do you think technology will impact work, and subsequently, our work/life balance, moving forward? Will we benefit from increasingly intelligent technology in the workplace? Why or why not?
I strongly recommend you relate this specifically to your chosen field(s) of employment (or one that you are considering) and/or your experience with online education as this will help you to remain concrete.

Requirements:
The purpose of this assignment is to logically convince your audience. You must present an arguable thesis, evidence, reasons, and counterargument/rebuttal in order to do this. Avoid second person and phrases like I believe and “In my opinion”; present your argument as objectively as possible.
You must include at least two sources (maximum four); I have provided the sources you may use, but you do not need to use every source I have provided*. I also encourage you to use concrete, personal examples and anecdotes to support your position. Support (which includes incorporating a small amount of outside information) is required, and you must cite all sources in proper MLA format, including a Works Cited page. As with all of our assignments, essays that are plagiarized or contain plagiarized information will earn a zero.
*If you have found another source you are considering using, ask me first. Finding and evaluating sources is an important skill, but not one covered in this course
Remember, you will not receive a final grade for your essay until we have discussed your rough draft.
–Length: 4-5 pages (1,200 words minimum), typed, double spaced
–Layout: Typed, TNR or Calibri font size 12, 1 margins around, double spaced, and header that includes your name, the date, and assignment, MLA format
