How much has the world changed since people first started writing? On the surface, it looks like a lot,
but when we think about how humans behave, act, and think, we can begin to see that we are not so
different after all. We seem to share many of the same feelings, desires, and aspirations with those of
ancient Mesopotamia, Greece, and Rome.
For this assignment, please create a bridge between these two worlds. What do I mean by that? Well, I want
you to see this paper as a compare and contrast paper, and you are comparing human behavior, culture,
and society of the modern-day world from the epic of Gilgamesh to that of the ancient one. What similarities do you see between
them and us? What difference do you see? Why do you think that is the case.
In essence, I want you to prove whether humans have changed all that much in 2000 years.
