Topic: The Development of Capitalism since decolonization and independence. In particular, I want to investigate the shift that many African nations had (are still going through) from socialist (at least in rhetoric) to capitalist. I also want to investigate how did various non- democratic African countries develop (or didnt develop) their economies. Especially since a great deal of them were still under foreign influence of various degrees (including their former colonial overseers.)
