Continuation from the previous assignment you completed.
Step 1: Before you can complete this assignment, you need to find three sources that help you to enhance your understanding of the relevant facts and opinions about your chosen issue.
In Identifying a Research Topic you listed several questions that you would like to answer through your research. You will now try and answer those questions
You will be assessed as to the quality of your sources. use the skills that you developed in the previous unit to find sources that you can trust. You may want to investigate each sources rhetorical situation and confirm any surprising or doubtful information by conducting additional research.
You will be assessed by the relevance of your sources you will want to demonstrate that you have learned something new from each source dont choose sources that tell you what you already know.
Step 2: Once you have three sources, create annotations (notes) for each of your sources and upload them here as a Microsoft Word Document. Remember, that each annotation should be at least 250 words and should include the following:
A summary that focuses on what you gained from the source
An evaluation of any particular strengths or weaknesses of the source, including new perspectives offered and biases of the source
A response to the source that shows how it enhances your understanding of the puzzle or problem and impacts your thinking
A discussion of how the source relates/does not relate to your other sources

Along with 3 completed annotations, you should also include two paragraphs:
a paragraph description (at least 150 words) of your research focus at this point. In this paragraph, please address the following:
In what way were all three sources necessary to enhance your understanding of the issue? Why was it helpful to read all three instead of just two?
Have you encountered any contradictions or conflicting information across all three sources? If so, what are the contradictions? If not, what are the main points upon which all 3 sources agree?
One result of conducting research is that your research topic becomes more specific and focused as your sources point you in particular directions. Consider the research youve done so far. In what ways is your research topic becoming more specific and focused than it was when you first started your research? What are you focusing in on now that you did not originally see and/or anticipate?
Now that you have read at least 3 sources on your research topic, what questions do you have now that you did not have before? List at least six new questions that you would like to answer in the next stage of your research. Try to have an even mix of information-seeking and opinion-seeking questions. What visual elements are you thinking about including?
How will you demonstrate the connection between the sources you’ve found so far?
