In this activity, you will write a short essay on performance appraisals. This will prepare you to use the process to assess the performance of those you supervise, or will supervise, in the future. Your instructor will use the associated rubric for grading and feedback purposes.

Identify how pay, promotions, and other rewards are tied to performance and its evaluation.
What would improve the effectiveness of the performance appraisal process in ensuring goals are meaningful and the appraisals are valuable?
