Individual current Events Analysis
* Purpose of the project: we observe that technology has altered the way of business operations significantly and the trend will continue in the future. For example, AI (Artificial Intelligence), blockchain, data and business analytics, smart manufacturing, smart service operations, etc. are some examples of technological advancements. Students choose any topic of the current events (but not limited to the examples listed here) that spur the business operations to look into the details of the development and impacts on the supply chain brought by the recent and future changes in this project.
For example, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Blockchain, digital coins and transaction, Cryptography, Data analysis, Smart manufacturing, Smart service, Smart ports, Smart housing, Drone technology in the transportation industry, IoT (Internet of things), Autonomous cars and trucks, and Robots usages.

These are only limited topics of the technology and you can find your own.

Write a paper to illustrate the impact of the technology in the current business or supply chain operations. You may examine the past before the technology was introduced, current usage of the technology, and future expectations of the technology. If you include a specific example of the usage and the impact of the technology in your choice, that would be good.

* Each student should submit a written paper for the current event analysis via Canvas with TURNITIN turned on. TURNITIN will be operating to measure plagiarism level when the report is turned in via Canvas and the plagiarism score of less than 20% is required to receive full credit for your work. If the plagiarism score from TURNITIN is higher than 20% the paper will lose the score by the difference between the percentage and 20%. For example, if the plagiarism score is 25%, the group will lose 5% (25%-20%) of your graded score. Page length should be at least 6 in double-space ( or 3 pages in single space) excluding cover page, exhibits, and reference at 12 font size.
* Grading will be based on
* How interesting the topic is (20%)
