I need a quick review of the book and let me what you liked about the book and point out a few important things that stand out to you. Then i need the four questions answered.
Animals People raises a few questions, and relates back to a few topics, that we have been addressing throughout the course, including 1) What does it mean to be human, and what happens (what is made possible?) when we, like Haraway, decide that we have never been human or, like Wynter, that there are many genres of being human
2) What do communities under threat do when the environment (or nature) they are meant to live in and relate to becomes so toxic that it threatens their lives?
3) With particular reference to Animals People, how might the disaster at the plant (which is referred to as that night) related to gender and sexuality? Is it a feminist issue? Is it an issue of a communitys ability (or lack thereof) to reproduce itself socially, biologically?
4) How does this story, which thematizes a struggle between a community in India and a corporation in the United States, expand our view of environmental racism, climate change, and the Anthropocene in an international framework?
