DUE DATE: 5/31: For this Assignment, you will critique one of the articles you found for your Annotated Bibliography. You will closely read the article, highlighting, taking notes, and looking up definitions of words you don’t know, so that you understand everything the article means.
You will then write an essay following the format below. Remember this must be in essay format. The numbers below correspond to each paragraph of your essay and what is to be included in each paragraph.
Introductory paragraph: include the full title and all authors of the article you selected including the topic for the research paper that you have chosen.
Who wrote the text and what are their qualifications? Where was the text published? When was it published?
Provide a summary of the article.
Is the information in the text accurate and specific? How do you know? Has the author defined terms clearly? Which words or phrases or ideas did the author have to clearly define for the reader?
Has the author interpreted the material fairly? What do you think motivated the writer to write the text? How can you tell if the author is being fair?
Does the writer seem to support her point with good research and reasoning? Provide two examples of research the author included. Where does this research come from? Does this research reflect expert opinion or fact?
Concluding paragraph: What is your overall recommendation of this article? Why do you like or not like it? Be specific.
Include full APA reference entry for the article at the bottom of your essay.
