It has been stated that the 1920s and the 1960s were very similar decades. Defend or refute this statement. Compare specific political, economic, and social events to support your answer.

20’s & 60’s question:
If you did the twenties question from Part I, you are half way done with this question. Now look for similarities and differences from the sixties. (more similarities: you would defend the quote; more differences: you would refute the quote). Use fashions, for example, while the fashions are not the same, they are extreme in both decades ( the flapper shirts and the mini-skirt) so this would be similar and defend the quote. Do not forget to put the item into a category (social, political, or economic).
50’s & 80’s question:
Much like the first question. Look for similarities and differences. Both decades had Republican presidents (political category). Some civil rights in the 50’s, none in the 80’s. Start of Cold War in 50’s, end in 80’s. Both decades prosperous (economic category). Don’t forget to decide which decade had the greatest effect on America today.
Three greatest presidents question:
To answer this question, YOU have to figure out which three presidents are the greatest of the twentieth century (after 1900 only). In the mini-lecture this week, I spoke about the presidents from Reagan to Obama and mentioned foreign and domestic accomplishments. You do not have to use any of these presidents but you are going to have to use foreign and domestic accomplishment to discuss and prioritize your choices. Prioritize means figure out who was first, second, and third based on how successful your choices were compared to each other.
