Key challenges of managing in the public sector context

Course Blog (one blog posting-10 points; four responses to others blog postings-4 points)
We are going to maintain a course blog on Blackboard throughout the term to deepen our understanding of course topics by sharing ideas and learning from peers. Since the owner of the blog will be students, not the instructor, you are responsible to blog and maintain the blog by posting an original blog entry and by commenting on your classmates blog entries. To complete this assignment, you must upload an original blog posting on the topic assigned to you in the designated week (see the Blog Topic table at the end of this syllabus; the same table is also posted in the Course Materials section); and must comment on at least four different classmates blog postings

Pick three topics that intrigues you from the topic list at the end of this syllabus and submit the topics in order of preference to the instructor through the Blog Topic Submission tab in the Discussion Forum and Q&A section in Blackboard.
The topic submission is ; you will be asked to work on only one of the topics. The instructor will notify students of the final topic assignment no later than February 8th at midnight so that the authors of blog postings for Week 3 can have at least one full week to complete their work. Due to the time constraint imposed to the Week 3 blog authors, an advantage to compensate for the prep time disadvantage will be given; 20% relaxed rules of the assignment grading will be applied. No more than two students will be allowed to post a blog about the same topic. The first come, first served rule will be applied to decide who has priority to choose a topic for this assignment. If all your preferred topics are occupied by others whose topic submissions were faster than yours, the instructor will RANDOMLY pick one for you among the remaining topics.

For detailed guidelines for this assignment, please see below:

A blog post must have an informative title.
The author of a blog posting must do a small amount of research on the topic and share
what she or he has found and learned. In a blog posting, the author must use at least one of the following media, in addition to texts, to communicate her or his arguments: images, videos, audios, and links to external source of information which can help better communicate the authors point to the readers. You can use diverse functions in the blog section. If you are not familiar with Blackboard Blogs, please watch the video tutorial by clicking on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrqmOuWwxHA.
The author of a blog posting should be responsive to the comments on her or his work. Be an active blogger for a dynamic effective discussion on your topic, by replying to your classmates comments on your work! The number of replies you leave to others comments on your work will not be counted towards the four required blog comments. But no interaction with peers or non-collegial attitude will result in a lower grade.
