You can deliver the case study in white paper form or in a powerpoint. To receive full credit you need to show a clear understanding of each tool and how you would use each tool in each phase per the case study ask. I posted a good summary deck for you The way you should utilize the deck is to ensure you highlight each activity and tool for each phase you build based on the attached deck. To give you some context in the past I have given full credit for students who give me 2 pages per phase in a word doc or 10 to 15 powerpoint slides per phase then there was a student that gave me a 170 page powerpoint. The key here is quality not quantity. Be sure to tell the story. If your story is told with the tools and objectives in each section as stated in the attached deck you will earn full credit.
My primary concern with the case study is to see that you are applying the concepts presented in each unit to the case study, rather than getting the format just right. I do like graphical presentation of data, so keep that in mind as you work on improving the process you select for your case study. Also, the abstract nature of the case study is confusing to some. Keep in mind that you are telling your own story on how you are helping improve your friends business based on the narrative provided and the LSS concepts you are learning in the class. Slide #2 in the case study guidance presentation provides a good road map of the activities you would be doing and tools you would be using at each phase of the DMAIC process.
