Portfolio Activity 5: Getting to Know You
Purpose: to provide you with an opportunity to go beyond the relatively homogeneous environment that may be the norm for most students.
Partner with a classmate, colleague, friend, neighbor who comes from a different background than you. Use the issues mentioned in the chapter to conduct an interview that will uncover info, stories, feelings.
Turn to p.90 in your text and look at activity 1:1.
I attached activity 1.1 for you and the form for you to answer. If you can, please use the words in the textbook. Also, please use SIMPLE WORDS.
When concluding the activity, don't forget to respond to the reflection questions (artifact, reflection).
1. How do you identify your race or ethnicity?
