KRISTINA’S POST: One of the keys to a successful transformational leader is information sharing. Leaders sharing information leads to increased employee satisfaction and organizational commitment (Han et al., 2016). Information dissemination is especially important in safety situations and in organization-wide changes like Magnet designation preparation. There are many ways to get crucial information to all staff members, regardless of the days of the week or shift they work. I use many different strategies to reach my employees when I need to provide them with information. I hold in-person and virtual real-time meetings with my staff at different times of the day. I hold them at eleven at night or five in the morning to catch the night shift. I create video and written messages and disperse them through our Microsoft Teams page and email. I hold question and answer sessions after my initial informational messages. For large projects, like Magnet designation, I create a reference binder for staff to refer to if they have questions and I am not available. Staff are very appreciative to have a variety of mediums and times to get the information they need and to see the effort I put into making sure they have the information.
