Please follow the guidelines below as you complete a peer review of each paper:
1) Leave comments within your peer’s paper by highlighting specific areas that need focus and summarizing with a brief narrative at the end that summarizes key points in your review.
2) If there are numerous errors that are the same within a paper, for example, a textbook citation format is incorrect, you only need to highlight one example in your review with a note that the error occurs throughout the paper. It is up to the original author to proofread their entire paper and make all corrections.
3) The edits are to be general in nature. It is up to each student to proofread their entire paper and make all corrections.
4) Keep in mind, some papers may need fewer comments than others. If there are no errors in a certain area, you will receive full credit. What matters is that you review each paper.
5) In the Add a Comment: box, write a brief summary statement to the writer noting the common areas that need additional focus.
6) Use the Grading Rubric to provide an approximate score for the draft based on the defined criteria.
20 points for in-line comments through the paper (at least 2 comments per page).

10 points for summative comments

Remember, 40+ word direct quotes are formatted differently than paraphrases or small direct quotes. Be sure to proofread for content within the citations, period placement, and proper punctuation.
5 points for noting references page formatting, content, and ordering.
Proofread capitalization, font style (such as italics), punctuation, sources are alphabetized and have hanging indent formatting.
