Description of Assignment and Purpose: Paper IV is a persuasive and proposal paper, which utilizes the skills of research, editing, and organization, investigation, analysis, and evaluation, to
build arguments, present facts, and propose solutions to possible problems and to identify issues or problems and propose solutions. Paper IV continues the focus of crafting polished academic
papers which adhere to MLA format, strong research, and clear writing techniques. Students will learn the art of persuasion within this essay to help justify a claim. Students will continue to share their ideas with others, using workshops to edit papers. Additionally, this paper should show a students interests, abilities toward research, problem identification and solution patterns, using research to support opinions, and finally, then use strategies to support content for different audiences and purposes. Paper IV is the final paper of the course and therefore, will serve as the final exam/project assessment for the course outcomes, student learning outcomes and development of the students research, writing, editing, and overall methods from the course.”
