Proxemics write-up

Proxemics is a term coined by Edward T. Hall, a researcher who studied the relative proximity of people to one another in various situations and in various societies. He came to understand that the ways in which people of differing cultures use space in various situations ultimately reflects their intercultural communication patterns, cultural meanings, expected and/or tolerated interaction, and more. Type a 2 -3 page (12-pt. font) write-up that presents the patterns you discovered while watching the video. Here is where you can make some tentative inferences regarding how actors arrange, change or maintain space within this setting — provided that you give examples and an adequate rationale for your assertions. Also, comment on what a foreigner would need to know to function appropriately with regard to space in this specific situation and give (tentative) reasons WHY they should do or not do certain things.
