Quality Improvement

For your original post, you are required to respond to the following questions. You may use materials provided to you within the course in addition to outside references, if appropriate. Outside references are not required. Each of these responses should be succinct, short, and to the point. You’ll need to balance brevity with the need to fully respond to the query. Strike a balance that makes sense given that your colleagues need to read and respond to your posts. Approximately 10-15 sentences–no more–should be adequate.

(b) What did you learn from this particular project?
(c) What is the value of positive deviance as a QI approach?

6. Provide one example of a specific strategy designed within any of the 4 projects that was used to establish reliability of some type. [Make certain you understand the term “reliability” before responding.
7. Provide one example of a specific strategy designed within any of the 4 projects that was used to establish validity of some type. [Make certain you understand the term “validity” before responding.
8. Select one of the publications and provide a clearly written, accurate but brief explanation of the quantitative analysis used by the project leads. Keep it plain and simple. You may have to do some thinking and may need to use your research book or some other biostatistics /stat reference source. Do not confuse quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis or incorrectly determine the type of analysis described within the selected publication or all points will be deducted.
