There have been reports of drugs being sold from a house in your town and reports of an increase in gang activity. Neighbors report that cars approach the house and people enter and leave after a few minutes. In addition there have been quality of life problems in that area. Things like graffiti, public drinking, loud music, increased drug activity, shootings, and other violent crimes have been reported.
Please formulate a plan to bring these activities to an end. Identify the steps that you would take to find out whether the reports of drug sales are true and identify what you would do to solve the problem. Finally, remember that all of the provisions regarding due process must be followed. This includes all of the protections of the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments regarding arrest, search, and seizure. Review your classmates’ responses and comment on them.
