The Feminization of Migration Flows

Listed are three groups of workers and three questions. Choose one group of workers and answer all three of the questions as they relate to that group of workers in an essay format.
Workers: (1) nannies, (2) domestic workers (including elderly care), and (3) sex workers.
1. How does the group relate to the title of the book, “nannies, maids, sex workers in the new economy”? (consider the global push/pull forces they experience).
2. A global labor supply (female migrants) meets a local labor demand (their employer/workplace), what is not considered by a traditional economic analysis of this relationship? In other words, considering the work of the women, what do the economic dynamics of supply and demand not explain about this work?
3. How is this precarious labor and are there other vulnerabilities/sacrifices of the work?
4. Introduction and Conclusion. In the conclusion discuss how this work reflects the gendered division of labor and the role of men in the book Global Women
