• Paper will be graded for grammar, spelling, and writing style (informal or colloquial writing, or
awkward sentence structures will be penalized).
• Paper must have claim/ thesis statement
• Paper must have relevant premises with citation, where appropriate (not every paper will need citation).
• Paper must pose at least one STRONG objection to your thesis (you will lose points, if you commit a
Straw man fallacy here)
• Paper must have a REPLY to that strong objection (you will lose points, if you commit Ad
Hominem or Red Herring to address the objection)
