For the research paper, I am supposed to do what Michael Pollan does in his book: The Omnivores Dilemma. I have to pick a food and trace it back to its origin through practical detective work and research, and state what I can find out about our food system (in the U.S.) by investigating this item. I should consider the food I chose in regards to government policies, animal welfare, and health and nutrition. I chose my food item to be Chobani Greek yogurt. What I mean by “tracing the food back to its origin” is basically like tracing (Chobani) Greek yogurt back to what it is made from, which would be milk. So, this would allow for the discussion of the dairy farms in the U.S., talking about animal welfare, and government policies and so on. I hope this clarifies what I’m looking for help on. It is a research paper, however, there should also be a lot of discussion and not just stating the facts found from research. There is no specific number of sources that I have to abide by, but I would predict that a lot of sources are needed for this paper.
