3) You need to find other articles (on your own) that either support, or dispute what your selected article is stating. The idea is to think critically. For example, if you pick one of the Indigenous readings, then you can find articles that support the main thesis of your paper, but also try to find ones that don’t and point out why they might not agree. The idea is to pick a topic within the article that interested you and then find supporting arguments for and against it. Then, discuss.
4) Please, avoid using “I think.” Be analytical about what you are saying. “Silvey et al. (2020) supports that Indigenous social determinants of health are important when working towards reconciliation. However, James et al. (2010) stated that the all Canadians need to be treated equally in order to work towards equality. This contradicts the thesis of Jane et al. (2015) which discusses the importance of equality vs equity… ” Obviously this is a dumbed down version but I hope it clears this idea up.
