1 Research Paper, split into 2 assignments. 1st assignment is Intro & Methods Section (no Abstract). 2nd assignment is Results & Discussion Section. Part 1) Intro & Methods Sections: Using the format we’ve built over the last few weeks, write up an introduction section that culminates in a hypothesis about the impact of the Stroop Effect. Before beginning this, you should have read and completed the lab. This part of your lab report should include the following: -No abstract is needed-An APA formatted introduction that has:-5 sources-Article summaries written in the format we developed earlier in the semester [included in add. materials]-These summaries should culminate in a hypothesis that our lab this week might test-An APA formatted methods section that describes the Stroop Effect lab-All the components from the how to write a methods section [included in add. materials]-An explanation about how these methods will test our hypothesis-APA formatted works cited page-4 pages, as well as a works cited page in APA format-Word Document, 12-pt font, 1″ margins, Times New Roman, double spaced Part 2) Results & Discussion Analyze your data with the provided data set [included in add. materials] and write up an APA-style results and discussion section. You don’t need a cover page, and will only need a works cited page if you cite sources [please include 1 source cited anywhere in this part 2, thanks!]. Your results section will be pretty brief. You can find guidelines for how to write up a result section online. Many guides will tell you exactly what format to write in, and I see no reason to not follow those closely! Don’t get include needless detail in your results section. They will be graded on: -Was the analysis you chose appropriate for the data?-How well you seem to understand what your results mean-How well you seem to understand why we chose the test we did-If your results are correct The next part of your document will be your discussion section. Refer to the resources you have to structure your writing.Completeness-How well you seem to understand what your results mean-How thoughtfully you complete the different sections (the page limit provided should give you an idea of what to shoot for).-You should use 12-point Times New Roman font and your submission should be 3 pages Personal Notes: The only thing I’d like to add is in the inconsistency / future studies can be done better section: (paraphrasing) An individual taking the test can look away from the words, so that they cannot see the words in their peripheral vision, but they can still see the colors. That would skew the results, since you’re not taking the word itself into account. Much appreciated! I cannot believe I got so behind on this. I’m here for any feedback or additional info that is needed. Thanks again.
