This is an American History course focused on the year 1865 to present. The essay has to reference the Kellogg-Briand Pact in some capacity. The argument the paper is trying to make is that because of America’s current standing – be it political, economic, geographical, treaties with other nations, etc. – it would be unlikely that the United States would want to enter into a global cease-fire treaty, just like the countries who opted out in 1920-1930 during the original Kellogg-Briand Pact.
