Film Analysis #2 (posted to discussion board) due by 11:59 pm on Wed, Aug 10. 100 points. You will not be able to post to the discussion board after the due date. Please write your text in the body of the discussion board rather than as an attachment. Please answer both parts. Each part is worth 50 points for a total of 100 points for this assignment. Your paper should be at minimum 500 words in length for each part for a total of 1,000 words. Select a different film than the one you did for your first film analysis paper, and support your essay with several specific examples from the text and the film of your choice from your film list or listed on your power point slides. Please note the film you choose must be from the list or listed as a link on your power point slides to ensure it relates to our class materials. You do not need an introduction, conclusion, or bibliography- just dive in and answer the questions, labeling your post, Part 1 and Part 2. Please use in-text citations (for example, when citing information from your text, please cite the page number after you discuss that information and when citing information from the film, state who said it in the film). Please remember your grade for this assignment is based on your integration of concepts in your textbook, the film, and connecting the two. It is not intended to be a persuasive essay based on opinion, so think facts, not personal opinion as you are writing. If you want to include your personal opinion of the issues presented in the film or the film itself, please do so at the end of your 1,000 word essay to ensure you are satisfying the assignment requirements. Your report should be a minimum of 500 words for each part (it is fine to go over that, as I’m more than happy to read as much as you have to say!) and thoroughly address each of the following parts:

Part 1 (at least 500 words): Begin with the name and description of the film (main themes, points, important facts/statistics shown, etc). Include what you thought the most important information provided in the film was, as well as its psychological significance. For instance, if you write about the film we will see in class on Alzheimer’s disease, you could describe the psychological impact of this issue on individuals and families, per the statistics presented in the film as well as the stories of people shown in the film.
Part 2 (at least 500 words): Citing the page numbers in your text where you found this information, begin with a discussion of several terms, concept, or theory from your text and how they relate to the film. Include why you think this information from your text is connected to the film, using specific examples from both the text and the film. In the example of the film on Alzheimer’s, you could discuss any number of concepts from your textbook chapter on memory. Keep in mind that the majority of Part 2 should be describing information from your text and how it is linked to the film
