Progress Assignment #2: UN Sustainable Development Goals
Briefing to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) (paper and video)
You are a highly motivated intern at USAID who has been tasked with giving a briefing to your team on a particular UN Sustainable Development Goal.
Step 1: Review the UN UN Sustainable Development Goals website http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/ and report.
Step 2: Choose one of the Sustainable Development goals that most interests you.
Step 3: Research the current status of that goal using the UN website, scholarly journals, and other IGO/NGO sources of reference. Think about what does the accomplishment of this goal mean for the future of IGO/NGO cooperation and the greater good of the global community. Elaborate on the goal in the form of a short paper ( 1-2 pages) in a word document; use citations and other sources.
Step 4: Present in an audio/video file (5-10 minutes) on the current status of that goal. Include the portions of the goal that have been met, what actors are involved and be sure to explain how. You can use a bullet style outline to do the video presentation.
